Its the season for weddings!

This summer I have been in 1 wedding and will have attended 2 as a guest! Everyone is getting married! Its so amazing to be apart of the special day of a friend and get to honor them in their moment.
Along with weddings comes amazing artwork. I have made a full wedding album for my friend Loretta (which I will share next week), and a display album & guest book for my friend Katie (who is getting married this weekend)! I cannot wait to be there for her speical day! Her wedding colors are a beautiful combination of TCU purple & black. I made the display album (shown at the bottom) as a gift for her bridal shower, and she liked it so much that she asked me to do the guest book for her wedding! I was thrilled!! : )

Excitied for Baby Noah!

I cannot wait to meet my best friend Katey's 2nd little prince to be...Noah! She is due in July and is glowing with a motherly ambiance of beauty. Katey had her baby shower a couple of weeks ago and this is what I made for her to put in his nursery along with the card for her gift.

For Katey's 1st son's (Greyson) shower I made him a name frame as well. She liked it so much that I thought that Noah should have one too, however I didnt want to make them exactally the same. With Noah's frame I was inspired by a team member (Heather Martin) she always does such amazing artwork!!

The last photo is Greyson's name frame that I did a year and half ago!! They both turned out great! I cannot wait to meet Noah when he arrives!

Wedding Album Slide Show

Good Evening Friends,

Well here it is I have finally got my blog up and running!! A special Thanks to my friend Xellina for helping me!! For those who don't know I am very, very computer illiterate....I mean extremely! Lol : ) I think that there are many times where I have humored Xellina on how much I don't know, but she is always there to help me! That's what great friends are for right?? To help and be there every step of the way! I'm so happy to finally have a place where I can express my creativity and share it with many people!

Speaking of Friends, though my business of Close To My Heart I have had the opportunity to develop some amazing friendships! We laugh with tears rolling down our faces, vent with frustration, be the shoulder to cry on, and come together to pray for one another. One of my favorite things expressing the friendship that we all have is that whenever there is someone in need we all come together to make it happen no matter what the situation may be.

I wanted to share this artwork in my first post because it is this that I am post proud of. None of the artwork was made by me, but made for me. This is my wedding album. Everyone on the team (members name in parenthesis) made a 1 page layout for me, and then Xellina combined it all together to put it in an album. We hosted a team crop in Sept. '09 (2 wks before my wedding) and Xellina surprised me with the album after lunch. I will never forget this moment...tears rolled down my face with joy, and I became very overwhelmed with the warm feeling of love. The pages are so amazingly beautiful, and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding gift. I love it!! I hope that you all enjoy the pics of the layouts! It will be my cherished gift for the rest of my life, and defiantly something that I would go back into a burning house for! : )
